Main Areas of Research Interest 

My main area of research interest involves ICU nurses’ working conditions in terms of stress, moral concerns and organizational restraints. In a study with 36 nurses from 10 different ICU-units I have gained interview data that forms the basis for at least three analyses. First a conceptualization of stress was done using a transactional phenomenological perspective and presented in the article below. A second article, in manuscript, addresses moral concerns and the way nurse’s reflects on them. In a third article, with the purpose to describe the synthesis of the concept moral stress, a secondary analysis was done. In a fourth article the organizational aspects of stress will be discussed.
